Silly Worrggh, hedgehogs look like this: this.

Full-sized brains are far more nourishing than tiny little hedgehog brains, but at least being zombies, the spines won’t be a problem (except when you’re picking them out of your tongue for the next 30 minutes – please don’t ask me how I know, it’s not one of my smarter ideas for how to spice up a zombie sex life.)

Great zom-com from the zombies’ point of view; the protagonists don’t realize they’re undead for a good portion of the movie. And the film does an excellent job of dealing with the sensitive subject of post-mortem coitus and certain decaying body parts…

What an excellent article! So many zombies, particularly fresh ones, seem to believe that being undead prevents them from having zombie/pet relationships, I will be sure to direct them to this article. One other alternative you did not mention that is worth considering is the benefit of having a human pet. They can be very difficult to tame and train, and there are difficulties for the master as well (especially if you skip a meal for some reason and find yourself craving a snack). But human pets last a lot longer and when eventually they die, if you resist eating the entire human you can end up with a new undead friend!
